WIOA stands for the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act. This replaced the Workforce Investment Act (WIA) in July 2015. WIOA was designed to help residents get the training and education to launch careers in local industries. At the same time, WIOA also provides a steady stream of workers to area businesses to keep the economy growing.
Services are broken down into youth, adult, and dislocated worker.
