When we first shared Casey’s story in March, he was just beginning to rebuild his life after incarceration — armed with determination, freshly gained skills, and a powerful vision for his future. Today, only months later, we’re proud to share just how far he’s come. Casey hasn’t simply continued his journey. He’s accelerated it.
After graduating from the Highway Construction Skills Training (HCST) program in January 2025, Casey didn’t just enter the construction industry — he hit the ground running. In late April he was hired as a Bulker Driver at MCC, Inc., and since then, his first season has been nothing short of extraordinary.
In only a few months on the job, Casey has already driven over 31,500 miles — and the season isn’t over yet! That number represents more than travel. It represents momentum, reliability, and a commitment to excellence that has not gone unnoticed.
Achievements from Casey’s First Season
Casey’s growth has been both rapid and remarkable. In just one season, he has:
- Earned his Class A CDL License, a key credential that opens doors to high-demand, high-wage roles.
- Mastered DOT safety regulations and rigorous daily inspection procedures.
- Built strong communication and teamwork skills, coordinating effectively with crews across multiple job sites.
- Received employer praise for outstanding performance — including flawless attendance and a perfect safety record. No accidents. No blowouts. Even during challenging 12-hour shifts!
His work has taken him to every MCC, Inc. terminal and concrete plant, demonstrating not only his driving expertise but also his ability to adapt to different environments, teams, and expectations.
And Casey isn’t slowing down. He’s now preparing to earn his Hazmat Endorsement, expanding his qualifications and positioning himself for even more specialized, higher-earning opportunities.
