This prestigious award recognizes Ariel’s extraordinary impact, leadership, and unwavering commitment to student success—and we couldn’t be prouder.
Ariel’s work at Prairie Phoenix Academy perfectly embodies the mission of JAG-Wisconsin: helping young people overcome barriers to graduation, employment, and postsecondary success. Her students consistently share how supported, empowered, and motivated they feel under her guidance. Ariel’s impact goes far beyond classroom instruction—she has actively built bridges between education and employment, connecting students with real-world experiences through internships, mock interviews, and job shadowing.
A true collaborator, Ariel has also played a pivotal role in strengthening our regional JAG initiatives, helping raise the bar for program quality across the board. The JAG Specialist of the Year award honors excellence in key areas such as student outcomes, data performance, and professional collaboration. Ariel has not only met those high standards—she has exceeded them.

JAG-Wisconsin is part of the national Jobs for America’s Graduates network, which has supported over 1.6 million students since its founding in 1980. The program is designed to prepare students for success in school, work, and life through a combination of:
