Computer Grants Provide Relief to Job-Seekers During Pandemic

Great news! We’ve just been awarded grants totaling $28,500 to help people in need get computer access.

Computers are more essential than ever these days, as the pandemic response has moved everything from job interviews to aid applications online. While it’s meant to keep us all healthy, this transition has also been a real hit to people who can’t afford the technology. We’ll be using the money from these grants to quickly provide these necessary tools to those who need them most. In addition to computers, we will be purchasing supplies like hotspots, computer mice, and computer bags. This will enable people to attend interviews and appointments and even train safely from home.

A big thank you goes out to the Oshkosh Area United Way, the Fox Valley United Way, the Northwoods United Way, the United Way of Marathon County, and the Community Foundation of North Central Wisconsin! They responded to the pandemic by creating the COVID-19 Community Response Fund Grants which are making these resources possible. We will be working quickly to put these funds into action, helping those in our community get these essential tools to build their futures.
