Determination That Opened the Door
Mona’s determination and resilience have earned her a place in Highway Construction Skills Training (HCST) history. As a March 2026 graduate of our Northeast HCST class, Mona became the program’s ninth graduate of the year to earn a Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
Mona completed six months of intensive training before taking the next step at Fox Valley Technical College, where she successfully completed a five-week Behind-the-Wheel CDL program. Through every challenge, she maintained an incredible work ethic and stayed focused on her goal of building a career in construction.
A Milestone Worth Celebrating
At Fox Valley Technical College, Mona celebrated her achievement by “Ringing the Bell,” a tradition marking an important milestone. For Mona, the moment represented more than completing training—it marked the beginning of a new chapter as a professional Class A CDL driver.
Her success was also made possible through the encouragement and support of Goodwill staff, who believed in her throughout the journey.
Mona’s story shows what determination, training and support can accomplish. If you’re ready to pursue an exciting, good-paying career with opportunities for advancement, learn more about FSC’s HCST program and discover where your determination can take you.
