How it Works
Created by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, the Highway Construction Skills Training program, HCST for short, creates career opportunities for people in construction jobs and keep the construction workforce thriving, with a special interest in placing women and people of color in the construction industry and provide a full-service training for them to succeed.
Your Job Under Construction
This training program helps you understand the construction industry, available careers, OSHA safety, flagging basics, CPR and first aid, and apprenticeship exam preparation.
With extensive construction employer and union relationships, our staff will connect you with companies that fit your career goals. They also help you get the right combination of training and experience to thrive in your career.
You will become a part of a community of graduates who continue support one another.
