How The Program Works
Wisconsin Works, also called W-2, is a work-based program funded by the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families to help parents train for and find good careers to support their families.
Help through Supportive Services
Wisconsin Works helps you on your journey to a new career with support like gas money, bus passes, job training, and other expenses.
Our education navigators can help you earn a GED or HSED, if you don’t have a high school diploma. They also give you peace of mind with support for your children to succeed in school and graduate.
Emergency Assistance helps you with timely cash assistance to pay for rent, utilities, or other costs.
Job Access Loans provides money for uniforms, car repairs, and other work needs.
Expecting mothers or mothers of newborn babies can even find maternity leave, if their employer doesn’t provide it.
We also have a large network of local partners with resources to meet your needs.
