FoodShare Employment and Training (FSET)
Employment support for people on FoodShare to build job skills and start great careers through training, resume help, and job search help. Money for gas vouchers, bus passes, and work clothes for those in the program.
Emergency Assistance
Cash assistance for families facing a crisis , like homelessness or other housing emergencies. Funds can be used for security deposit, first month’s rent, to prevent an eviction for nonpayment of rent or utility disconnection.
Workforce Innovation Opportunity Act (WIOA)
Connections to employment resources for people looking for a new, high-paying career. Program participants are provided opportunities for education, training, and job preparation.
Highway Construction Skills Training (HCST)
Training to get into a high-paying construction career. Includes training class, OSHA-10 certification, flagging certification, apprenticeship exam prep, job search, and resume help.
Upward Bound
Helps high school students prepare for college with guidance, in-class assistance, tutoring, college tours, and assistance applying for financial aid.
Jobs for America’s Graduates (JAG-WI)
Helps high school students prepare for life after graduation, whether going to work, college, or both. Provides in-class help, student-led projects, and career guidance.
Job Access Loan (JAL)
Short-term, no interest loans for work-related items to help workers with families get or keep a job, including work clothes, tools, cars, housing, and other expenses.
Refugee Services
Recently immigrated people can connect with local resources and receive help to find work.
WETAP
No-interest loans for car repair or car purchase to help workers to stay on the job or find a new one.
Worker Advancement Initiative (WAI)
Help for workers who have had employment affected by the pandemic through job searching services, training, and connections to employers.
Job Skills Training
Free job training for program participants with courses in job seeking, financial management, and careers in call centers and offices.
College Bound Math Science
Helps high school students with interest in STEM careers prepare for college with guidance, in-class assistance, tutoring, college tours, and assistance applying for financial aid.
