For over two years, Quinn had been dedicated to pursuing a career in the medical field, with a particular focus on Phlebotomy. In January 2022, she took a decisive step toward her lifelong dream of becoming a Registered Nurse by enrolling in the WIOA Adult Program. This decision proved to be a game-changer, providing her with career assessments that aligned her aspirations with the healthcare industry and offering critical financial support for her training.
Without the WIOA program, Quinn would have had to rely solely on student loans. However, with the program’s assistance, she received funding to cover her tuition and textbook costs, making her educational journey more accessible. Additionally, she was occasionally supported with mileage funds, helping her stay committed to attending her classes and moving forward with her goals.
Mapping the Future with Transition to Success
Forward Service Corporation introduced Quinn to the Transition to Success (TTS) framework and the “Map of My Dreams” tool. Working closely with a career planner, she developed a personalized roadmap to bring her dreams to life. This structured approach gave her the guidance and motivation she needed to turn aspirations into tangible steps toward success.
A Dream Beyond a Career: Building a Family Home
Quinn’s ultimate dream extends beyond her career—she aspires to become a mother and create a loving, stable family home. She understands that the foundation of this dream begins with securing her education as a Registered Nurse, providing her with financial stability and the resources to support her future family.
As she continues her educational journey, Quinn has already made significant strides. She successfully completed her CNA course, allowing her to gain hands-on experience in the healthcare field while she works toward her nursing degree. This invaluable experience is helping her build both her confidence and professional skills.
