After moving her family halfway around the world, Mumtaz was determined to find any work possible to support them. After enrolling in Wisconsin Works, she is starting the school year surrounded by children, doing the work she has always loved.
Mumtaz co-enrolled with the FSET program to increase her success right away. With a background teaching kindergarten in Pakistan, both teams honed in to help her find jobs in childcare. Within just a few months, she secured an interview with Arts for Kids.
Now, Mumtaz is starting her career in the US as a 4K assistant. She is taking independent childcare classes over her lunch hour and after work, with hopes to earn her teaching credentials. Plus, she recently got her driver’s permit and plans to save up for a car. Her family could not be more proud of their mother, and neither could we. Congratulations, Mumtaz!
