When people enter our programs, they’re hoping for the good, solid careers you provide. Although money is definitely important, our job-seeking process goes a step further by targeting each client’s career and personal goals. This is the heart of their motivation, and it’s how you can be assured that they’ll diligently work to impress you every day.

Every participant is pre-screened to ensure the right fit. This includes matching their skills, interests, and personality to the career before we ever send them your way. This means we’re only sending you candidates whose heartfelt desires match your company, culture, and interests.

We also stick with our clients after hire, to ensure they have all the resources they need to succeed. If there’s anything keeping them from being the best employee possible, we’ll work together to turn that around. Whether they need to get professional work attire, find the means to get to work on time, or learn new skills, FSC is here to help.

Employers play an integral role in helping our participants learn new skills and find the opportunity to use them. We’ll work together closely to give you the flexibility to get involved in ways that make sense for your team. Here are a few common ways employers help out:

  • Job Clubs – Employers may present about their business, perform mock interviews, or give feedback on resumes during these regularly scheduled meetings.
  • Training – Participating in training is a great way to build a positive reputation while seeing which student(s) might be a great member of your team. Whether you present once during a class or instruct several lessons, your guidance and feedback helps our aspiring candidates enter the field prepared.
  • Job Fairs – This is very popular with employers who are involved in our training courses. It lets you get first-pick of our top professionals while you provide the opportunity they’ve been training for.
  • Transportation – Lack of reliable transportation is one of the most common issues plaguing the workforce. Ask our team what they can do to help your employees get on a bus route, get transportation vouchers, and more.

Can we do a trial hire before actually hiring one of your candidates?

Yes, we have temp-to-hire options built into many of our programs, sometimes called a “work experience” or volunteering. Basically, this is your opportunity to try before you buy.

We prescreen every volunteer candidate and will only suggest those best suited for your company. Once you’ve decided to take someone on, you can see if they’re a good fit firsthand. Meanwhile, we’ll keep in regular contact to ensure that they’re performing well.

Our participants are eager to impress— even if you can’t hire anyone at the moment, they want the experience, feedback, and a positive recommendation. It’s an easy, short-term way to get good help, give back, and find your next great teammate.

Do we need to pay for any of this?

Our services are completely free to you. We are a not-for-profit enterprise, and there is no cost for any of our services. If we reach out to your business, it’s purely to connect you with great candidates and make sure our clients find the perfect fit.
