Robert came to us looking for find a full-time job that matched his passions and skills. Since he was receiving FoodShare benefits, Robert was also eligible for our FoodShare Employment Training (FSET) program and was quickly enrolled. He worked closely with his FSET case manager to explore his options, polish up his resume, apply for his next great career.
It wasn’t long after that Robert landed a wonderful job as a delivery driver. To ease his worries of starting a new job, his case manager hooked him up with some new attire; work outfits such as pants and shirts from Amazon and work shoes from Rogan’s.
Since getting this new job, Robert is feeling more energized, useful and independent. He’s developed a new self-esteem with a positive outlook on his future. He was doubtful about applying for his job at first, but now he’s more confident than ever!
“I really thank you very much for the Goodwill clothing Good Neighbor Card,” says Robert. “I was able to get really good interview dress pants, shirts and shoes for my interview. It really played a role in me landing the job, so, again, I thank you from the bottom of my heart!”
