Wayne Designs His Future

As someone who loves to draw, Wayne has dreams of starting his own design company someday.  But he knew the path he was on wasn’t heading in that direction. Hampered by health issues, he was stuck at home staring at the same four walls with little human contact.

Luckily for him (and for us), Wayne had a friend enrolled in the Food Share Employment Training (FSET) program who told him about the support we can provide. As a resourceful and creative person, Wayne found the coach he needed in Karen, who worked with him to explore opportunities. Working with the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, they helped Wayne focus on his capabilities and match those to local jobs.

Fast forward and today Wayne has a great part-time job that he loves and fits his needs. It gives him a chance to interact with people and build up his personal finances so he can open that design shop in the future. He also reports that he is getting stronger every day.

Great work Wayne, we’re so glad we could work with you. We wish you the best in reaching your dream.
